The Cloud Managed Service Lead Consultant is responsible for overseeing the delivery of managed IT services to clients. This includes managing a team of service delivery professionals, acting as the primary point of contact for key clients, and ensuring the ongoing quality and efficiency of the managed services provided.
Roles and responsibilities:
Manage a team of service delivery engineers, consultants, and architects to ensure all client needs are met
Serve as the main point of contact for high-profile clients, understand their business requirements, and tailor services accordingly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and managing client expectations.
Monitor performance of managed service offerings and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. sales, implementation, operations) to drive continuous service enhancements
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive service management
Provide escalation support for complex technical issues or service delivery challenges
Oversee service-level agreement (SLA) compliance and identify/resolve any issues
Guide and mentor the technical team in managing and optimizing cloud environments. Ensure best practices and cutting-edge solutions are implemented.
Prepare periodic service reports and presentations for clients
Support new client on-boarding and managed service transitions
Oversee multiple client projects as a delivery project manager, from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
10+ years of experience in a managed service and delivery roles
Strong technical background with expertise in core IT infrastructure and managed services
Demonstrated experience working with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
Excellent problem-solving, and client communication skills
Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
Experience leading and mentoring a team of IT professionals
Deep understanding of service-level agreements and key performance indicators
Certified in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Expertise in management and governance of FinOps principles (TCO, ROI, Cost Optimization)
Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery services & tools
Extensive experience with cloud services including IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, DBaaS, DRaaS
Proficiency in container platforms like Kubernetes and working with cloud databases
