Flint Culture has brought Dernagh O'Leary and Mohammed Al Daqqaq on board to setup and kickstart its new office in Abu Dhabi.

At the start of this year, Flint Culture announced that it has launched a new hub in Abu Dhabi, which became its fourth in the Middle East alongside Dubai, Riyadh, and Istanbul.

The expansion of the UK-headquartered group comes in response to growing demand for communications expertise in the arts & culture sectors, with Abu Dhabi’s booming cultural scene operating at the forefront of cultural development in the Middle East.

“Our mission is to provide our clients with culturally informed strategies that reflect our in-depth understanding of their cultural landscape and context. The opening of our new base in Abu Dhabi reflects our commitment to delivering timely and culturally relevant insights,” said Wol Balston, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Flint Culture.

Bringing more than 15 years of cross-sector experience in communications in the UAE, UK and Ireland, Dernagh O’Leary has been appointed as Director of the new Abu Dhabi office. She has in-depth experience working across arts, culture and heritage projects in Abu Dhabi in the UAE having supported the Department of Tourism and Culture alongside many other high-profile projects across the Emirate.

Prior to joining Flint Culture, she worked for Wilson Hartnell and Edelman, among others.

Dernagh is supported by Mohammed Al Daqqaq, a communications professional with more than 15 years of experience in Abu Dhabi and the MENA region. Al Daqqaq has been named an Associate Director – he too has a background at Edelman (where he spent over decade) and also served counterpart ASDA'A BCW.

Alongside the two senior appointments, Flint Culture has also assembled a team of mid and junior level professionals in Abu Dhabi.
