Joud Abduljawad joins Middle East leadership of healthcare consultancy CF

Healthcare-focused strategy consultancy CF has welcomed Joud Abduljawad to its team in the Middle East as Partner and Chief Medical Officer.
With a distinguished career in the United Kingdom and the Middle East, Joud Abduljawa brings over two decades of experience in healthcare transformation, clinical performance management, patient-centred services, and healthcare redesign to CF.
He served as Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust from 2011, later becoming Clinical Director of Urgent and Medicine and Specialist Advisor to the CQC. At University College London Hospitals, Abduljawa transformed Urgent and Emergency Care pathways as Divisional Clinical Director of Emergency Services.
Transitioning to Saudi Arabia, Abduljawa held several leadership roles, including Corporate Chairman for Clinical Performance at the Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs, and Chief Medical Officer for private medical groups.
On his new challenges, he said: “I’m delighted to join CF as it enters a new era of expansion and further growth in the Middle East. CF’s team brings together an exciting blend of specialist expertise spanning clinical, life sciences, data, and independent healthcare, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
Founded in 2013, CF (in full: Carnall Farrar) today has a team of over 50 consultants and ranks as one of the UK’s leading consultancies in the healthcare, having recently been recognised as a top player in the sector by both the Financial Times and Consultancy.uk.
In the Middle East, CF operates with an office in Riyadh, providing advisory and support in areas such as value-based healthcare, designing and implementing new models of care, clinical strategy and pathway optimisation, healthcare analytics, transformation, and innovation adoption.
“Joud is a fabulous addition to our Middle East team,” said Hannah Farrar, co-founder of CF. “Joud has had an esteemed career as a clinician in both the UK and Middle East and brings with him such a wealth of knowledge and experience. His understanding of the Middle East health system and experience in the NHS will make him an asset to our clients and colleagues.”
Abduljawa will work closely with Nour Mohanna, a Lebanese national who has been with CF for over six years and oversees the Middle East business.
