Sia strengthens Middle East leadership team with Alan Chakra
Sia has strengthened its leadership team with Alan Chakra, who has joined as a managing director with a focus on the Oil & Gas sector in Saudi Arabia.
Alan Chakra has 30 years of management and technology consulting experience in the energy, automotive and transportation sectors.
Most recently, he was senior partner with IBM Consulting in the US, before relocating to Saudi Arabia to serve as Director of the Aramco IBM Innovation Hub, a joint collaboration between the two companies that leverages emerging technologies in hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence and quantum computing to provide solutions for pressing topics such as circular economy, materials science, supply chain, sustainability, security, and digitization.
Before that, Chakra spent years at Deloitte, where he held leadership roles and served clients in the US, GCC and Singapore in sectors including private equity, energy, automotive, and transportation. He also worked for other global consultancies, in private equity, and in technology.
Chakra commenced his career as a mechanical engineer and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He was co-awarded US patent 6330499 on automotive system health monitoring.
