KPMG announces nine partner promotions across the Middle East

Big Four accounting and consulting firm KPMG has promoted nine colleagues to Partner across the Middle East.

The new Partners work across the firm’s Audit, Advisory and Central Services business units and across offices in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, among others.

Promoted to Partner effective 1 April 2025:

Anwar Abid (Audit) brings over 16 years of experience across Germany and the UAE, leading audits for high-profile clients in real rstate, transport, and logistics. He also played a leadership role in the deployment of KPMG Clara, a tool that enhances audit quality and efficiency.

Iman Aljawini (Central Services) has driven the establishment of the Partners Affairs office. As Head of Partner Affairs for the Middle East, she oversees the full journey for Partners, spearheading leadership programs and development centers to strengthen KPMG’s partner pipeline.

Sameer Khan (Audit) has over 24 years of experience, during which he has led audits for diverse high-profile clients. He spearheaded the launch of Local Content Audit Services and helped drive the Audit Operations Transformation offering. Recently, Khan earned a Doctorate in Business Administration, deepening his leadership capabilities.

Chi Ngwube (Advisory) brings 17+ years of expertise in technology M&A, IT strategy, and transformation to KPMG’s partnership, having led projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, and India. He has led and contributed to projects in the energy, healthcare, and banking sectors, driving modernization and sustainable growth.

Promoted to Partner effective 1 October 2025:

Farid Alkhaldi (Advisory) has 16+ years of experience in industries including energy, manufacturing, and technology. A member of the Strategy team, Alkhaldi has expertise in investment strategy and foreign direct investment (FDI), and led the Industrial Investments portfolio. In Saudi, he has worked on projects that support Vision 2030's emphasis on industrial growth and economic diversification.

Hossain Alshedoki (Advisory) joined KPMG in 2019 with deep expertise in engineering and cybersecurity. An expert in the energy and natural resources sector, he currently heads the Emerging Technology & Operational Technology Security practice and serves as KPMG’s Global Lead for IoT and OT services.

Firas Abdelfattah (Advisory) has over 25 years of consulting experience with a focus on project management and digital transformation. He joined KPMG in 2020, and currently plays a leadership role in areas such as public sector digital transformation and smart city developments.

Arbab Choudhary (Advisory) has around 20 years of experience in cybersecurity strategy and governance at KPMG, specializing in governance, risk & compliance, data privacy, and third-party security. He has an extensive track record of delivering major projects across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region.

Hadi Elsafadi (Advisory) has over 24 years of experience, including nine with KPMG. A leader in finance transformation and ERP implementations, Elsafadi has successfully driven one of the largest global ERP rollouts KPMG recently worked on, encompassing over 1,500 entities in several countries.
