GCS and Detecon Consulting host Digital Innovation Forum in Oman

In May, Gulf Consultations and Services (GCS) and Detecon Consulting teamed up to host the Digital Innovation Forum in Oman.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the forum in Muscat convened leaders from Omani ministries, private sector organisations, and multinationals to explore the future of digital transformation and exchange perspectives on Oman’s own digital transformation journey.

With Oman’ss Vision 2040 and the National Digital Economy Program as guiding pillars, the forum served as a platform to explore important developments and solutions in areas such as business strategy, innovation management, digital transformation, internet of things, artificial intelligence, smart and cognitive cities, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

Participants engaged in forward-looking discussions on how public and private sector collaboration can accelerate national progress, and on practical strategies that can enable real transformation.

“Featuring thought-provoking keynotes, expert-led panes and networking opportunities, the forum underscored the strategic importance of innovation in building a digitally empowered Oman,” stated the organisers in a joint release. “The event emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in driving meaningful, scalable transformation.”

Established in 2020, Gulf Consultations and Services is a boutique consultancy firm dedicated to the telecom sector. Detecon Consulting meanwhile also is a telecom specialist, but at a much larger scale – the firm has over 1,300 employees working from offices across five continents. Outside of telecom, Detecon Consulting is active in sectors such as automotive, energy, manufacturing, public sector, and transport.
