Phi Management supports Midis Group with leadership development track
Partnering with Phi Management, Midis Group delivered a development program aimed at strengthening its leaders. A group of 23 leaders completed the tailored program, gaining evidence-based insights into how they can enhance their strengths and apply them effectively in their roles.
Headquartered in Lebanon, Midis Group is an international organisation bringing the world’s leading technology brands and ICT solutions to customers across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The group employs more than 6,400 professionals in nearly 70 countries worldwide.
Leadership development is a cornerstone of Midis Group’s strategy. The company invests significantly in learning, development, and coaching initiatives to support both current leaders and emerging talent. This commitment recently came to life through a bespoke program for a cohort of 23 high-potential leaders drawn from offices across the group’s international footprint, in partnership with experts at Phi Management.
“The strategy of Midis Group around its leadership development is powerful,” said Pamela Assaker, a leader at Phi Management. “Leaders are provided the space, capabilities and tools to reflect, take stock of their strengths, and uncover growth areas in a safe, supportive setting. This approach provides the foundation for unlocking key strengths and practical application in their role.”
Insight-Based Development
The leadership journey began with a multi-dimensional assessment phase. Each participant was evaluated through a series of exercises, each one designed and conducted by different assessors to ensure objectivity and bring together diverse viewpoints. This multi-lens methodology allowed for a comprehensive and unbiased picture of each individual’s leadership capabilities.
Once assessments were complete, the process transitioned into the evidence-to-insight stage. Here, experienced assessors collaborated to analyze performance patterns and align on meaningful observations. These insights were synthesized into detailed, personalized reports focused on both current strengths and specific development opportunities.
Each participant received an Individual Development Plan – a practical, forward-looking roadmap tailored to their growth trajectory. “When participants came in for their one-on-one feedback sessions, they received a full picture of how their performance could be enhanced, and a solid starting point for building a 70-20-10-aligned development plan they can immediately put into practice.”

A key differentiator in the program’s success was Phi Management’s use of assessors who are not only qualified in evaluation, but also seasoned business professionals and trained coaches.
“This approach added credibility and depth to the feedback and learning process, and incited forward-looking conversation,” said Assaker. “The discussion shifted from ‘Here’s how you did’ to ‘Here’s where you can grow’.”
This shift made a real difference. Evaluation data revealed that participants did not experience the process as a formal evaluation, but rather as a meaningful, empowering development experience. This, in turn, fostered deeper personal ownership of the learning journey – widely acknowledged as critical to real behavioral change.
Shaping Future Leaders
Today, all 23 participants are actively working through their development plans, bringing fresh insight and greater self-awareness to their roles.
Reflecting on the success of the initiative, Assaker said: “The success of the development track wasn’t just about the tools used, it was about how everything came together. From the start, the goal was clear: make the experience relevant, fair, and impactful.”
“That meant no generic exercises, no copy-paste content. Every scenario was designed with Midis Group’s real leadership context in mind, so participants weren’t stepping into a simulation – they were stepping into something that looked and felt like their actual day-to-day.”
Beyond individual development, the initiative also delivered strategic value at the organizational level. Phi Management’s methodology ensured alignment with Midis Group’s internal competency frameworks and behavioral blueprints. This ensured that development outcomes are in sync with the company’s broader strategy for leadership culture.”
With the next crop of leaders better prepared for tomorrow’s challenges, Midis Group has set another step in its mission to build a company that not only leads in its field, but also fosters a culture of leadership, integrity and trust.
