NTT DATA launches Microsoft Cloud business unit in Middle East and Africa
Global technology services company NTT DATA has launched a new business unit dedicated to Microsoft Cloud.
The new global unit brings together NTT DATA’s deep industry and technical expertise in Microsoft Cloud, security and AI solutions to help its clients accelerate cloud modernization, scale Agentic AI and navigate sovereignty and compliance requirements.
The Microsoft Cloud practice has a presence across more than 50 countries, including multiple markets in the Middle East such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Globally, NTT Data’s team holds more than 24,000 certifications in Microsoft Cloud specializations.
Charlie Li, Head of Cloud and Security Services at NTT Data, said: “Through our global business unit for Microsoft Cloud, we’re bringing together the strengths of both organizations to solve modern problems using advanced cloud and AI technologies, whether it’s modernizing operations, improving how people work and connect, or delivering more intelligent, secure and resilient digital experiences.”
Murray Campbell, Vice President Cloud and Security for the Middle East and Africa, added: “Across the Middle East and Africa, organizations are increasingly looking to AI and cloud technologies to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and stay competitive. With Microsoft Cloud, we’re helping clients take practical steps toward modernization – whether that’s through better collaboration, more secure infrastructure, or intelligent automation.”
Key offerings of the practice include generative AI and Agentic AI (helping clients scale AI with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Azure AI Foundry), migration to the Azure cloud, enterprise resource planning solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, and sovereign cloud adoption.
Commenting on the launch, Stephen Boyle, Global Leader of System Integration & Advisory at Microsoft said: “NTT DATA has played a pivotal role in driving global adoption of Microsoft Azure innovations. This global business unit and our expanded collaboration enables enterprises to integrate AI seamlessly, modernize operations and achieve digital transformation with confidence.”
The Microsoft Cloud business unit follows NTT DATA recently launching an Agentic AI offering built on Azure and Azure AI Foundry. According to Campbell, in the 90 days since its launch the service has generated significant interest from organizations in the Middle East and Africa.
