Zakher Marine International taps IBM Consulting for AI at scale ambition
Zakher Marine International, a provider of marine support solutions to the offshore energy industry, has inked a collaboration with IBM Consulting aimed at scaling artificial intelligence (AI) across its operations.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Zakher Marine International helps players in the offshore energy sector with a wide range of services and solutions that support the construction and maintenance of offshore production platforms and associated infrastructure. The company, which is a subsidiary of ADNOC Logistics & Services, delivers its services mainly through jack-up barges and offshore support vessels.
Working together with IBM Consulting, Zakher Marine International plans to develop high-impact AI use cases across crew management, contract management, supply chain, asset management, marine operations, and finance.
IBM Consulting will leverage its deep knowhow in AI and industry knowledge combined with its AI-powered delivery platform (IBM Consulting Advantage) to guide and accelerate the design, implementation, and scaling of AI initiatives.
The initial focus of the collaboration will be on using AI to optimize crew deployment for faster response and resource use, and strengthening contract execution to reduce leakage and boost outcomes. After these two domains, uses cases for the other domains will be picked up.
