Grant Thornton appoints Ahmad Chit as partner in Forensics practice
Grant Thornton has strengthened its partner team in the United Arab Emirates with Ahmad Chit.
A senior leader in the Forensics practice, Ahmad Chit brings over 18 years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, expert witness testimony, and litigation support to Grant Thornton.
He joins the firm from Quantuma, where he was a senior member in its Forensic practice. Before that, he worked at HKA, Deloitte and Kroll in the UAE, and before his relocation from Canada, spent years at a Big Four firm.
Throughout his career, he has supported regulatory bodies, courts, law enforcement agencies, legal counsel, and multinational corporations in navigating complex forensic matters. Chit specializes in forensic accounting, fraud analysis, quantification of damages and accountants’ negligence assessments, and has worked on projects across the Middle East, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

In the UAE, Grant Thornton has around 800 staff working across offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The firm is in part owned by Grant Thornton Advisors, an international Grant Thornton platform backed by New Mountain Capital.
