RSM promotes Asad Mahmood to partner in his 20th year at the firm

Now in his 20th year at RSM, Asad Mahmood has achieved his biggest career milestone at the accounting and advisory firm – being admitted into the partnership.

Asad Mahmood first walked through RSM’s doors in 2006, when he joined as a junior in the Dubai office. Over the years, he has risen through the ranks within the Audit business, and this month he has taken the step up from director to partner.

Mahmood leads external audit engagements across sectors such as construction, logistics, manufacturing, real estate, and digital businesses. He also has extensive experience with projects around regulatory compliance with both UAE and international standards, internal controls, finance, and risk assessments.

He has played an important role in driving the growth of RSM in the UAE, serving as an active member of the Audit management team and supporting key activities such as quality, learning and development, resource allocation, and staff supervision.

Commenting on his appointment, Mahmood said: “I’m truly humbled to join the partner team. Looking back, it’s been an incredible journey filled with learning, challenges, growth, and countless memories. From starting out as a junior to now becoming a partner, every step has been made possible because of the amazing people I’ve had around me.”
