Following a period of strong growth in Qatar, Boston Consulting Group has expanded its office space in Doha, nearly doubling its space to accommodate its larger team and prepare for its next chapter.

One of its four offices in the Middle East, the Doha hub launched in 2017, building on the firm’s decade-long legacy of consulting expertise in the country. In 2023, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) moved into its current office in Pearl Island, taking the 22nd floor in the Tower 121 building.

At the time, the global management consulting firm had a team of around 70. Since then, strong growth has seen Boston Consulting Group roughly double in size. To accommodate this expansion, the firm has added a new floor to its office space on the 21st floor.

“Since establishing our hub here in 2017, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with leading organizations across Qatar’s most dynamic sectors, from energy and financial services to tourism and media. The addition of our new floor aims to create an environment that fosters the kind of innovative thinking and collaboration that our clients have come to expect from BCG,” said Juan Vazquez, Managing Director and Senior Partner in the Doha office.

Spanning four million square metres of reclaimed land, Pearl Island is a strip that hosts businesses, residential property, and offers all kinds of amenities from luxury shopping centres and dining spots to a yacht club.

In a note on the firm’s website, the leadership team highlights its office as “open and expansive, with panoramic views of the sea,” and “designed to encourage collaboration and the free flow of ideas.” Consultants based there find themselves “surrounded by a vibrant social scene, spectacular views, and a lively mix of restaurants, cafés, and fine waterfront dining. It’s a compelling blend of work and culture.”

In Qatar, Boston Consulting Group works with both public and private organizations, with a focus on the country’s core sectors such as oil & gas, energy, travel & tourism, media, and financial services.

Vazquez: “Our expanded presence in Doha reflects both our deep commitment to Qatar and the incredible growth opportunities we see in the region. Qatar National Vision 2030 presents opportunities for transformation, and we’re excited to continue supporting both public and private sector leaders as they navigate this exciting journey.”

Headquartered in the US, Boston Consulting Group is one of the world’s most prestigious strategic consulting firms. In the Middle East, the firm has over 1,000 consultants and staff.
