Deloitte recognized for ‘Best Social Impact Initiative’ at 2025 Future Workplace Awards

Deloitte has been recognized for its long-standing commitment to advancing education, skills development, and community resilience across the Middle East, winning the ‘Best Social Impact Initiative’ award at the 2025 Future Workplace Awards.

Held in Dubai, the awards ceremony celebrated workplace innovation and placed the spotlight on organisations shaping the future of work. Deloitte’s win recognises the firm’s meaningful and measurable impact on the communities it serves – an area where Deloitte continues to lead through its flagship societal impact platform, WorldClass.

Rooted in Deloitte’s global ambition to empower 100 million futures by 2030, WorldClass focuses on creating pathways to opportunity through education and skills building. In the Middle East, Deloitte has already reached more than 170,000 people through corporate responsibility and sustainability programs that support students, educators, entrepreneurs, and underserved communities.

Yasmin Kayali, Chief Marketing Officer and Societal Impact Leader at Deloitte in the Middle East, said the award reflects not only the success of individual programs but Deloitte’s broader commitment to embedding impact across its business. “This award is an important milestone. It recognizes the passion of our people and the scale of the collaborations we’ve built to uplift communities across the region,” she said.

“WorldClass is about creating meaningful, long-term change. By focusing on education and skills development, we help build more inclusive, resilient societies, which is core to who we are as an organization.”

Driving regional impact through scalable, future-focused programs

Deloitte’s portfolio of initiatives reflects the diverse needs of the communities it serves, with programs designed to build both digital and sustainability skills, two areas critical to the region’s long-term growth.

The Green Skills for a Green Economy program, launched by Deloitte in partnership with the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP), is driving a transformative shift in environmental literacy and sustainability expertise across the region. Already empowering hundreds of students, educators, and entrepreneurs throughout the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, and Lebanon, this initiative equips future leaders with the essential skills to excel in a low-carbon economy.

By addressing a critical regional priority, the program ensures that the next generation is fully prepared to advance national ambitions centered on climate action, green innovation, and economic diversification – paving the way for a resilient and sustainable future.

Similarly, the Deloitte Middle East Cyber Heroes program has trained over 8,000 students and teachers, empowering them with essential cybersecurity knowledge to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. As the region undergoes accelerated digital transformation, such initiatives play an increasingly vital role in protecting communities and equipping young people with the digital resilience needed for modern careers.

Deloitte’s impact also extends to mentorship and career readiness. The D-180 mentoring program has fostered more than 550 mentor–mentee relationships, connecting Deloitte professionals with students across the Middle East to offer guidance, career insights, and real-world exposure.

Kayali emphasized that partnerships have been pivotal in expanding the reach and impact of these initiatives. “Our collaborations with NGOs, UN agencies, and educational institutions ensure our programs remain deeply rooted in local needs while benefiting from global expertise,” she explained.

“This award stands as a powerful affirmation that when the private sector joins forces with the communities and partners we serve, we can drive meaningful, lasting change on a significant scale.”

Setting the benchmark for private-sector impact

By aligning its efforts with national development priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Deloitte exemplifies how private sector organizations can be powerful catalysts for inclusive and sustainable growth. The firm’s commitment to societal impact has garnered both regional and global recognition, reflecting its leadership in driving meaningful change.

Looking ahead, Deloitte remains resolutely focused on expanding its impact through innovative partnerships across the public and private sectors. “This is only the beginning. As we look to the future, we are dedicated to deepening our efforts, innovating with purpose, and creating pathways that enable more people across the region to access opportunities,” Kayali affirmed.

In a rapidly evolving economic landscape, with growing emphasis on sustainability, digital literacy, and inclusive development, Deloitte’s WorldClass initiative continues to set a high standard for how purpose-driven business and community impact can unite to build a more resilient and prosperous future.
