Hany Elnaggar joins Acquisory as Partner and Tax & Compliance Leader

Hany Elnaggar has joined Acquisory as Partner and Tax & Compliance Leader for the Middle East.

The arrival of Hany Elnaggar follows closely on the heels of Acquisory opening its Dubai office – the firm’s first outside its home market of India.

Hany brings over 20 years of extensive tax experience across multiple industries and jurisdictions, including the GCC, Middle East, Turkey and Africa. His expertise spans direct and indirect taxation, international tax planning, transfer pricing, country-to-country reporting, base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), profit allocation, tax compliance, tax audit and litigation, and leading VAT implementations across the GCC.

Hany also completed a visiting mission in Canada under the supervision of the United Nations to study tax systems and contributed to developing tax frameworks for the Large Taxpayer Centre. He has been a key leader in E-Invoicing implementation across the Middle East in previous in-house roles.

His previous roles include senior tax leadership positions at Egyptian Tax Authority, PwC, Novartis Group, ACWA Power International, Ericsson, Nissan, and Al Tayer Group, where he headed direct and international tax for the Middle East and GCC. Before joining Acquisory, Hany worked with WTS Dhruva Consultants as Associate Tax Partner.

Hany has authored numerous articles and technical papers on transfer pricing, direct tax, international tax, VAT, tax digitalisation, tax planning and audits, and has been an active speaker and panellist at leading tax conferences. He also serves as a correspondent for IBFD for GCC countries and Iraq.
