GISI Consulting Group appoints Abdullah Alnabhan as Managing Director for Middle East
GISI Consulting Group, a global consulting, engineering and project management company, has appointed longtime Palladium leader Abdullah Alnabhan as its Managing Director for the Middle East.
Abdullah Alnabhan has been with Palladium for over 17 years, where he is responsible for leading the Gulf Cooperation Council team. During his tenure as Managing Director, Palladium more than tripled the scale of its operations in the region and strengthened its position as one of the region’s leading consulting firms.
Effective this month, Alnabhan has now also taken on a cross-company leadership role within GISI Consulting Group, the parent of Palladium and Hill International in the Middle East, and several other likeminded labels around the world.
In his new role, Alnabhan will leverage his 20 years of international program management and advisory experience, as well as expertise in building businesses and leading operations and talent, to lead and grow both Palladium and Hill International.
“Abdullah’s proven leadership and experience strengthen Palladium’s and Hill International’s operations as we continue to grow in the region,” said Derek Amidon, Chief Executive Officer of GISI Consulting Group. “I’m also confident that the appointment will demonstrate the power of cross-company collaboration at the heart of our group – harnessing synergies and finding opportunities to create additional value for our clients is what we do.”
“Especially today, with megaprojects becoming the norm, resource constraints impacting markets around the world, and artificial intelligence driving the rapid transformation of the technological landscape, GISI Consulting Group has the depth and breadth of consultancy expertise that owners require to manage their programs.”
Raouf Ghali, Chief Executive Officer of Hill International, added: “Facilitated by Abdullah’s leadership in the region, Palladium and Hill International can offer clients a more comprehensive suite of professional services across advisory and program, project, and construction management disciplines. That’s the value of the GISI Consulting Group’s platform.”

Comprehensive consultancy services
Commenting on his role, Alnabhan said that his dual remit reflects the growing need for comprehensive consultancy services at a time of growing demand but also complexity.
“Comprehensive consultancy is crucial in the Middle East,” says Abdullah, “where increasing populations and government initiatives to achieve sustainable growth through economic diversification are driving a construction boom.”
In this market, owners face major challenges in planning and executing complex, concurrent projects – challenges that can be met with interdisciplinary solutions and the kind of cross-company teams Abdullah now leads.
To this end, Alnabhan said the root of his approach will be to harness the collective expertise of Palladium and Hill International, better equipping clients achieve their organizational objectives, from planning and delivering transformative transportation infrastructure to increasing data center capacity and driving long-term economic diversification.
“Building cross-company teams and adjusting involvement as client needs change will allow us to deliver innovative solutions that keep our clients’ projects moving forward,” he explained. “Hill International’s expertise in infrastructure project delivery and risk management and Palladium’s advisory capabilities in capital mobilization and sustainability positions the group as a true consultancy partner for clients, regardless of where they are in the project life cycle.”
