Personetics appoints Dorel Blitz as VP of business development and strategy
Artificial intelligence banking solutions provider Personetics has recruited KPMG in Israel’s former head of fintech Dorel Blitz as its new Vice President of Global Business Development & Strategy.
Headquartered in Tel Aviv, with further branches in London, New York and Singapore, Personetics provides many of the world’s leading financial institutions with cognitive banking applications built around artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and machine learning, delivering a more personalised service for over 50 million customers worldwide.
Since its 2010-founding by CEO David Sosna and COO David Govrin, the Sequoia-backed start-up has received numerous fintech sector accolades, including being named a Top Ten Fintech Company for innovation by global professional services firm KPMG. And now Personetics has received another boost from the Big Four giant, with former KPMG in Israel Head of Fintech Dorel Blitz being appointed its new Vice President of Global Business Development & Strategy.Blitz joins Personetics after nearly three years in the KPMG role, where he was also a member KPMG’s Global SGI (strategy growth initiatives) leadership team and headed the local arm’s FIS Advisory Services as to growth strategy, digital, and transformations, responsible overall for the Fintech department’s business development, service offerings, M&A, innovation and talent management, and collaborative relations building – including, with Personetics.
Originally, Blitz started out his career as an international organised crime investigator for the National Investigation Unit of the Israeli police, following a BA in criminology and political science with Bar-Ilan University – since augmented with a diploma in economics with Haifa University – before serving as the head of the banking & finance division of global research and analysis firm Adkit for three years.
Prior to joining KPMG, Blitz held the role of Innovation Manager with Bank Leumi – one of Israel’s largest and longest-running banks – where he was responsible for innovation strategy and research & development management. At Personetics, Blitz will in his new role be tasked with overseeing global strategic planning, the formation and execution of business partnerships, and the planning of new initiatives and business lines.
