DefineX holds roadshows with leaders from GCC’s financial services sector

DefineX, a Turkey-headquartered technology consultancy and venture builder, is holding roadshows with leaders from the Gulf’s financial services sector with the aim to expand its presence in the market.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Istanbul, DefineX has delivered more than 400 projects across digital advisory, technology implementation and software engineering since its inception. Financial services is a key vertical for the firm – its track record spans long-standing engagements with several leading banks.

As part of its Gulf expansion strategy, senior DefineX teams will host a series of executive roadshows with financial institutions across the region. These high-level engagements will focus on digital transformation, AI-enabled innovation and optimisation, next-generation architectures, technology delivery excellence, and banking solutions and managed services.

“Our teams will engage directly with technology leaders – CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and other senior members – to help shape their 2026 agendas and translate strategic ambition into executable plans,” said Cansen Ergun, Managing Director for the  Middle East at DefineX.

AI-enabled software excellence

A central theme of the discussions will be software engineering excellence. As financial institutions accelerate their digital and AI-enabled transformation journeys, demand for high-quality engineering capabilities continues to surge. Yet talent scarcity across the region presents a structural challenge.

“Software engineering underpins every successful digital transformation,” Ergun noted. “As organisations scale AI-driven initiatives and modernise their technology estates, engineering discipline and delivery rigour become critical differentiators.”

Generative AI can serve as a critical enabler of software excellence. A study from DefineX, which canvassed the views of more than 700 executives and practitioners across Türkiye, the UK, and the Middle East, found that the technology has added value to over 9 in 10 organizations, mainly around process improvements, efficiency and speed of work. On average, Generative AI was found to save about 3.5 hours saved per week.

“With Generative AI, software delivery is undergoing a structural shift,” said Ergun, who cites a recent collaboration with Türkiye Is Bankası, one of Turkey’s leading commercial banks, as an example.

By combining AI capabilities with advanced software engineering practices, DefineX supported the bank in significantly enhancing the efficiency and consistency of its credit evaluation process – delivering measurable operational gains and improved customer satisfaction.

During the roadshows, DefineX will showcase case studies such as the Türkiye Is Bankası engagement, demonstrating how its integrated advisory and engineering approach can deliver tangible impact for financial institutions across the Gulf.

Beyond financial services, DefineX also serves clients in telecommunications, retail and technology. Its venture building arm, DefineX Labs, focuses primarily on the financial services landscape.
