Deloitte remains fully operational amid tensions with safety-first approach
Amid rising regional tensions in the Middle East and growing challenges for businesses, Deloitte has issued a statement to clients confirming that it remains fully operational with a safety-first approach.
Since the start of the conflict on February 28, tensions across the Middle East have intensified, creating challenges for companies operating in the region. In markets such as the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Iran and Lebanon, businesses are grappling with heightened security concerns, travel disruption, and growing uncertainty among investors.
At the same time, many organisations are demonstrating resilience, issuing reassuring messages to clients and customers that core operations continue uninterrupted, supported by rapid response measures and more flexible operating models.
Deloitte has now joined the list of companies providing such reassurances, stating that it “remains fully operational in the Middle East” and is “dedicated to supporting our communities and helping our clients navigate this difficult time.”
“The safety of our people remains our highest priority as we monitor developments closely and act in line with relevant local guidance.”
Deloitte’s policy is backed by its flexible hybrid working practices, including working from home or other remote and safe locations. “Our teams continue to operate across offices, client sites and remote working arrangements, as appropriate.”
7,000 people in 14 countries
Active in the region since 1926, Deloitte is one of the Middle East’s largest professional services firms, employing more than 7,000 people. The Big Four firm supports clients across areas including accounting, audit, financial advisory, management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, technology, and innovation.
With 26 offices across 14 countries, Deloitte’s regional network is affected in many locations, from the UAE and Qatar to Iraq and Lebanon.
The company’s leadership team noted in its statement that it is “grateful for the decisive and steadfast leadership” shown across the countries in which it operates. “The clear directives and protective measures put in place have allowed organisations like ours to continue serving our people and clients with confidence and continuity.”
Headquartered in London, Deloitte has 473,000 people working across offices in 100+ countries.
