Global IT consultancy Adastra launches new office in Dubai

Adastra, a global IT consulting company backed by Carlyle Group, has expanded into the Middle East with the launch of a new office in the United Arab Emirates.

Founded in 2000 with joint headquarters in the Czech Republic and Canada, Adastra specialises in digital transformation and technology consulting. Its services span areas including artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud, data engineering and application development. The firm works closely with technology partners such as Databricks, Microsoft, Google and Amazon Web Services.

Having served clients in the Middle East for “several years”, Adastra has now established an on-the-ground presence in the region, selecting Dubai as its base for regional operations. Organisations on its client roster include ALJ Finans, Bank al Etihad, Digital Dubai, HSBC, Jameel Finance and Safwa Islamic Bank.

“Dubai has set a clear ambition to lead globally in digital government, smart cities and a sustainable data-driven economy. This closely aligns with our mission at Adastra – to enable innovation through AI and data-driven transformation. Having a presence here allows us to support our clients and partners in turning this ambition into reality,” said Maksim Demenkov, General Manager for the Middle East at Adastra.

He added that the new hub will offer the firm’s full suite of services, enabling it to “support organisations with end-to-end solutions in business consulting, data and artificial intelligence, cloud and analytics. We collaborate with our clients to deliver transformations and initiatives designed for scale, governance and long-term impact.”

Dubai becomes Adastra’s 25th office worldwide, joining locations across Europe, North America and Asia. With the backing of Carlyle Group – which came on board in July last year – the firm aims to significantly expand its global footprint in the coming years.
