Strategic Gears appoints Kem Díaz as Chief Financial Officer
Strategic Gears, a Saudi-headquartered management consulting firm, has appointed Kem Díaz as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Kem Díaz brings over a decade of cross-sector experience spanning commercial banking, venture capital, and high-growth SaaS environments. Most recently, he served as CFO at a Madrid-based SaaS company, and before that, he served as CFO at a digital company in the advertising sector.
Throughout his career, he has built finance functions from the ground up, integrated financial discipline into strategic decision-making, and acted as a trusted partner to executive leadership.
Kem Díaz holds an International MBA from EAE Business School, a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering from the University of Lima, and certifications from IE Business School.
“I joined Strategic Gears as CFO because I believe the convergence of finance and technology is redefining what’s possible and Strategic Gears has the ambition to lead that shift,” said Díaz. “What excites me most is building at the edge of that transformation, where discipline meets bold vision. Being the underdog isn’t a constraint, it’s fuel to challenge the status quo and deliver outsized impact.”
Nasser Alqahtani, Managing Partner of Strategic Gears, said: “Kem brings exactly the combination we were looking for, the technical rigor of a financial engineer and the strategic instincts of someone who has built and scaled finance across complex, high-growth environments. His appointment reflects where we are heading as a firm.”
The appointment also strengthens the firm’s leadership team based in Europe – a key growth region for the coming years. In January this year, Strategic Gears launched an office in Madrid, following its previous expansion into the UK market with an office in London.
