Khalil Tarhouni joins Sustainable Square as Head of Growth for Squarely

UAE-based ESG consultancy Sustainable Square has appointed Khalil Tarhouni as Head of Growth for Squarely, its AI-powered ESG data & reporting platform.

Khalil Tarhouni brings over 13 years of experience in B2B software-as-a-service, enterprise sales, and go-to-market strategy across Africa and Europe to the firm. His career spans senior roles across different organisations, including at consultancies EY (a Big Four firm) and Timsoft (a specialist in the retail sector). Tarhouni also co-founded a start-up.

In his new role at Squarely, Tarhouni leads go-to-market strategy, enterprise sales, and partnerships. He will work closely together with Ana Leonor Fernandes, who recently also joined Squarely with the remit to expand the platform’s branding in the ESG landscape.

Squarely is Sustainable Square’s in-house developed ESG software, built on over a decade of advisory expertise to solve the challenges that sustainability teams face in reporting. Squarely manages disclosures, data collection, emissions processing, and AI-assisted report drafting in one single structured system, with full data traceability, real-time dashboards and team collaboration features.

The appointments follow a period of active product investment. Earlier this year, Sustainable Square launched Squarely 2.0, introducing enhanced automation, improved data visibility, and AI-enabled workflows to help organisations produce audit-ready sustainability outputs.

With a team of around 50 staff, Sustainable Square is one of the GCC’s larger homegrown consultancies dedicated to the sustainability landscape. The firm is a recognized leader in the field.
