Clean Energy Business Council and WMSJ host the GRI Sustainability Program
The Clean Energy Business Council has joined forces with consulting firm WMSJ to launch the GRI Certified Sustainability Professional Program.
Building on their broader collaboration in advisory and capability development, the Clean Energy Business Council has appointed WMSJ as its delivery partner for the program, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing sustainability reporting, transparency, and ESG excellence across the MENA region.
The program is designed to support professionals and organizations in understanding the principles, structure, and methodologies of sustainability reporting in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, the world’s most widely adopted framework for sustainability reporting. These standards provide a robust and internationally accepted framework for transparent, consistent, and integrated reporting on economic, environmental, and social impacts.
Targeted at professionals with a strong interest in sustainability and the clean energy transition, the program is suitable for participants from diverse backgrounds, including energy, engineering, environmental sciences, finance, policy, and business leadership, particularly those working in climate action, low-carbon development, and sustainable finance.
Key learning objectives include applying the GRI Standards effectively, identifying and disclosing material sustainability topics, strengthening stakeholder engagement through transparent reporting, integrating sustainability into business strategy and governance, and producing high-quality sustainability reports aligned with global ESG expectations and evolving regulatory requirements.
