Who’s Who: Aya Abuosbeh, Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company
Aya Abuosbeh is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she advises clients in the public sector and healthcare institutions on strategic and data-enabled transformations.
Based in Dubai, Aya primarily serves clients across the social, healthcare, and public sectors, leading strategic initiatives that drive digital transformation, policy development, and operational excellence at scale. She has a core focus on large-scale health technology transformations and data platforms spanning providers, payers, and regulators.
Across sectors, Aya also advises clients on artificial intelligence (AI), from strategy and human-centered design through to implementation and large-scale rollout.
Before joining McKinsey & Company – the Middle East’s leading strategy consulting firm – in 2023, she spent four years at Accenture in its Strategy practice, where she designed a national AI adoption strategy for the health sector of a GCC country, developed a 10-year business case for national health informatics systems with an estimated $2.7 billion in benefits, and led emergency care pathway optimization that reduced response times by 40%.
At Accenture, she also won the firm’s Development Partnerships competition for financial inclusion with a digital money circles pilot aimed at improving refugee access to banking services in Jordan.
Earlier in her career, Aya worked at Big Four firm KPMG in its management consulting business, where she developed smart city strategies, digital customer journeys, and financial reorganization policies for UAE government entities.
Aya Abuosbeh holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where she completed a double major in Economics and Political Science, along with minors in Inequality Studies and Law & Society. Her academic research focused on health economics and comparative politics.
