PwC appoints Antoine Abou Mansour as Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East

PwC has appointed Antoine Abou Mansour – the former leader of its M&A practice across the region – as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

A long-standing PwC partner, Abou Mansour joined the firm at the turn of the century and has held several senior leadership positions throughout his career. He became a partner in 2009 and most recently led PwC’s Deals practice for seven years, overseeing the largest mergers and acquisitions advisory team in the Middle East, with around 900 professionals.

Under his leadership, the practice significantly expanded its scale and capabilities, supporting clients across the full deal lifecycle – from strategy and execution to post-deal transformation. The practice also cemented its leading market position, among others named the Middle East’s largest dealmaker by volume by Mergermarket in 2025 and securing the top position in Consultancy.org’s Middle East M&A rankings for two consecutive years.

“Looking back at my tenure leading Deals, I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. We expanded our capabilities, strengthened our market position, and built one of the region’s leading M&A platforms. More importantly, we built an exceptional team whose talent, ambition, collaboration and commitment have been the foundation of our success.”

Chief Operating Officer

In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Abou Mansour will be responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic execution and sustainable growth across the Middle East. His mandate includes strengthening performance, accelerating transformation and delivering long-term value for clients, employees and stakeholders.

PwC employs around 12,000 people across 12 markets in the Middle East: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, the Palestinian territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

“I am honoured to be stepping into this role as,” said Abou Mansour, who grew up in Lebanon before spending years in Europe before returning to the Middle East. “As our region continues to evolve at pace, I look forward to working alongside our Executive Committee to strengthen our business, support our people, deepen our client relationships and help deliver lasting impact across the markets we serve.”

During his more than 25 years with PwC, Abou Mansour has advised private equity firms, multinational corporations, government entities and family businesses across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. He brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions, due diligence, valuations, IPOs, divestments, privatisations, strategy and value creation across sectors including transportation, consumer markets, real estate, telecommunications, healthcare and education.

Looking ahead, Abou Mansour said: “PwC is entering an exciting new chapter in the Middle East, and I am energised by the opportunities ahead. I look forward to helping execute our strategy, enabling sustainable growth, empowering our people and creating lasting value for our clients and the communities we serve.”

Abou Mansour holds a dual degree from the Lebanese American University – a Bachelor of Arts and a degree in Accounting and Auditing – as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
