PwC promotes Ola Abdallah and Rand Qutub to partner in Deals practice

PwC has promoted Ola Abdallah and Rand Qutub to partner in its Middle East Deals practice, strengthening its capabilities in M&A advisory, transactions and restructuring services.

Ola Abdallah brings more than 17 years of experience in finance, restructuring and insolvency across the Gulf region. She advises clients on restructuring and financial advisory matters across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, contracting, telecommunications, financial services, consumer business and real estate.

Ola joined PwC in 2021, following nine years at fellow Big Four firm Deloitte, as well as roles at Chalhoub Group and Amundi Asset Management. She also worked with an international bank’s Special Assets Unit, where she advised on non-performing loans (NPLs) and supported clients facing financial distress. This experience gave her deep insight into credit risk evaluation, lender requirements in restructuring situations and the factors influencing creditor decision-making.

“I’m proud to be joining the partnership,” Ola stated in a LinkedIn post. “This milestone represents years of learning, hard work, solving complex problems and, above all, the support of many clients, colleagues and mentors along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.”

Rand Qutub is a member of the Transaction Services practice, where she specialises in transaction analysis, Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) advisory, and pre- and post-signing support. She has extensive experience delivering buy-side, sell-side and vendor due diligence services across the Middle East, working with large corporates and private equity firms.

Qutub leads PwC’s SPA offering in the region, supporting clients throughout the negotiation, review and execution of share purchase agreements in M&A transactions.

Rand joined PwC as a junior associate in Jordan in 2010 and has since progressed through the ranks within the firm’s Deals practice. After several years working in Dubai, she relocated to Riyadh.

“After 15 years with PwC, I’m proud and humbled to share that I’ve been admitted to the partnership,” Rand stated. “I’m incredibly grateful to the leaders who believed in me, my amazing team and our clients for their trust and support throughout this journey. Thank you to everyone who has been a source of motivation and for reminding me every day what matters most.”

Commenting on the appointments, Imad Matar, Middle East Deals Leader at PwC, said: “Reaching partnership is more than a career milestone. It reflects years of dedication to our clients, investment in our people and a commitment to raising the bar for quality and excellence every day. Ola and Rand both bring a unique perspective, deep expertise and a passion for helping clients navigate an increasingly complex environment.”

The promotion of Abdallah and Qutub is part of PwC’s new financial year partner intake, which also included four additional partners in the Deals practice – Ali Salman, Jean-Marc Franjian, Karim Bakr and Punit Jain – as well as more than a dozen appointments across the firm’s other service lines.

PwC employs around 12,000 people across twelve Middle East markets: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, the Palestinian territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
