FTI adds former EY forensics head Paul Walker to senior ranks in Dubai

FTI Consulting has appointed five new Senior Managing Directors across its global operations, with new Head of EMEA Technology Paul Walker to be based out of Dubai.

Following the recent addition of ex-EY director and colleague Muthmainur Rahman to head up FTI Consulting’s technology division in the Middle East and Africa (who was named among the five new Senior Managing Directors across the Middle East, India and UK), Paul Walker, the firm’s newly announced Head of EMEA Technology, has likewise crossed to FTI Consulting after more than a decade with EY in the UK.

Partner and Head of Forensic Technology for EY’s EMEIA region for the past 11 years, Walker has led numerous high-profile and complex cross-border investigations concerning compliance, remediation, regulatory, disputes and financial crime in various corners of the globe, including gaining extensive experience in the Middle East region in recent years while assisting seven local banks exposed to US regulatory sanctions violations.

Altogether, Walker boasts more than 20 years of expertise in technology consulting, with experience in building and leading provisions in e-discovery, advanced data analytics, traditional computer forensics, cyber and license compliance for a number of leading international advisories – including two years as Head of Forensic Technology for KPMG in the UK, and earlier four-year stint as a senior manager with Accenture.FTI adds former EY forensics head Paul Walker to senior ranks in DubaiSpeaking of his fresh senior appointment, commenced in September in the UAE, Walker said, “I am delighted to be joining FTI Consulting and their Technology business. Walker is joined in the Senior Managing Director ranks by fellow FTI recruits Amit Jaju as Head of India Technology in Mumbai – a former EY partner (8-plus years) and head of the firm’s Forensic Technology division in India – and Andrew Pimlott, a former partner with both Deloitte and EY (8-plus years) previously engaged in forensics and data analytics operations in the Middle East.

Pimlott will take on the Senior Managing Director role in FTI’s Data & Analytics practice out of London, which sits within the firm’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Also in London, and the last of FTI Consulting’s quartet of experienced senior hires, is Brian Stuart – an 11-year EY veteran and its recent Executive Director of Forensic Technology and Discovery Service in the UK. It’s expected that FTI’s team of expert recruits would already be well acquainted.
