The IoT Middle East 2019 conference has confirmed its first round of speakers, including PwC Advisory Partner Anil Khurana and McKinsey Digital’s Vinay Chandran.

Set for its latest edition in Dubai in February next year, the IoT Middle East 2019 conference will bring together 400-plus cross-industry C-level executives and experts for a business-focused insight into digital transformation and the Internet of Things amidst ongoing widespread regional disruption,  with a two-day agenda of ‘hands-on case studies, objective insights, real-world scenarios, in-depth learning and networking.’

Held over the 20th and 21st of February at the Armani Hotel, the conference is designed to complement and drive implementation initiatives already under way – covering, among other areas, the business models Internet of Things can generate and the structures which should be in place – with more than 35 speakers set to appear; among them, Anil Khurana of PwC and McKinsey & Company’s Vinay Chandran.

Vinay Chandran

Dubai-based Chandran, who returns to the event following his appearance last year, is a more than decade-long veteran with McKinsey & Company in the Middle East and leads the strategy giant’s Analytics practice in the region. A frequent speaker and author on the topic of automation, IoT and Industry 4.0 technologies, Chandran holds a double-master’s – an MBA from Cornell University and a Masters in Business Systems from Monash University – along with a Bachelor in Software Systems and Computer Engineering from RMIT in Australia.PwC and McKinsey partners to speak at 3rd IoT Middle East event in Dubai

Anil Khurana

Also a frequent public speaker with multiple qualifications (including a PhD. and MBA in Engineering and Business with the University of Michigan), Khurana leads PwC’s Strategy, and Consumer & Industrial Products and Services practice in the Middle East. Based out of Dubai, Khurana has been with the Big Four firm since 2011, and has altogether more than 25 years of experience in the consulting, public sector, academia and private equity domains across the Middle East, United States and India.

Khurna and Chandran will be joined by already confirmed speakers including; Tom Allen, Arsenal FC’s lead sport scientist (the English football club now the sixth biggest by revenues in Europe according to Deloitte); noted futurist speakers Ian Khan and Monika Bielskyte; and Careem co-founder and Chief Experience Officer Magnus Olsson – himself an alumni of McKinsey. Both McKinsey and PwC meanwhile also feature among the event partners, the latter having recently signed a further deal to provide support for the World Government Summit’s Best Minister Award.

“The ‘Internet of Things 2019’ is an ideal platform to discuss the business relevance of technology with professional peers across multiple industries and verticals,” said event CEO Johan Ehrstrom. “IoT has the rare opportunity of increasing company revenue while reducing costs at the same. The agenda is hence built to give participants the most objective and accurate predictions on the topic, highlighting how to generate business out of Internet of Things and maneuver in the IoT landscape for greater profits.”
