Sia Partners launches new website for Middle East training institute
Global consultancy Sia Partners has launched a new dedicated website for its Sia Institute training operations in the Middle East.
Established in 1999, Sia Partners is one of the world’s fastest growing strategy and management consulting firms, with global revenues now pushing beyond the $280 million mark and a compound annual growth rate eclipsing 20 percent over the past three years. In addition, the firm now has a presence in 16 countries (including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar) and a headcount of 14,000-plus consultants worldwide.
While this growth has been in part inorganic, with the consultancy embarking on a mini acquisition-spree in the past eighteen months (including this month’s pick up of French design and agile agency nod-A), Sia Partner’s Head of Marketing & Corporate Development, Sandrine Carreau, attributes much of the firm’s recent success to its high levels of team motivation, innovative approach, and “set of cutting-edge offerings.”
Indeed, under the banner of ‘Consulting 4.0’, Sia Partners has been busy positioning itself at the forefront of the consulting revolution, that is, the augmentation of traditional business advisory services with artificial intelligence, automation, and other rapidly emerging digital technologies. As part of this approach, the firm places a high emphasis on training and expertise – for its consultants to not just be aware of technologies but tailor the appropriate solutions case-by-case.
“We should train to develop a basic understanding to be able to identify possible application areas of new technologies,” says Robert Jan van Vliet, a partner in the firm’s Dutch practice. “Every consultant should develop this capability and one could speak about the augmented DNA of the consultant. Of course in addition to ‘learning to apply’, each consultant should focus on one or two expertise areas in this new Consulting 4.0 landscape.”
But beyond just an internal concern, Sia Partners has also established a world-class training centre for external organisations. The Sia Institute, based out of Paris and Dubai – the latter which now has a dedicated new website to serve the GCC region – provides customisable learning programmes and certification offerings in areas such as innovation, AI, data analytics, robotic process automation (RPA) and digital transformations.
With courses approved by the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) and Institute for Strategy Execution among other certifying bodies, the both in-house and off-site training is delivered by industry experts and open to individuals and enterprises in the Government, Insurance, Banking, Retail & Distribution, Energy & Utilities, Manufacturing/Industrial, Life Sciences, and Transportation & Logistics sectors among others.
“The Business Model Generation training brought me a fresh view on how to generate and analyse business models, in a simple and innovative way,” said one participant from First Abu Dhabi Bank, with another, from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), adding that it was one of the best interactive trainings they had attended on the topic of innovation. An upcoming open training course on strategy execution will be held on the 23rd to 25th of July.
