Alessandro Missaglia in Dubai among AlixPartners' global promotions
Global professional services firm AlixPartners has announced its end-of-year Managing Director promotions, which include Alessandro Missaglia in Dubai.
AlixPartners is the latest in line of global consultancies to announce its end-of-year senior promotions, with 17 new members joining the firm’s Managing Director ranks worldwide as of the 1st of January. While almost all of those tapped are based across the firm’s US and European offices, Alessandro Missaglia of AlixPartners’ Dubai bureau was also named as the sole promotion beyond these markets.
Missaglia, an MBA graduate from top-level European business management school SDA Bocconi, first joined AlixPartners as an associate in 2004, and has steadily worked his way up the ranks since. Serving within the firm’s operational turnaround team, the new managing director specialises in complex transformations in the automotive, industrial goods, aerospace and defence and oil & gas sectors.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Missaglia – who in addition to the MBA holds an industrial engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano – spent around three years with Pirelli in the area supply chain management and planning, performing improvement projects across its European subsidiaries. He has since developed local market expertise, having delivering projects across the GCC.
Over the course of his near two-decade industrial and business consulting career, Missaglia has together with supply chain expertise amassed significant experience in strategic sourcing, post-merger integrations, business planning, and the optimisation of manufacturing footprints – with a focus on what is described as the implementation of complex, multi-geography operational turnaround programmes.
Missaglia’s promotion is the firm’s first apparent end-of-year nod made in the Middle East for at least some time, while its consultants in Asia were again overlooked for the second year running. Beyond the US, AlixPartners’ other new managing directors include Ben Browne, Sean O'Flynn and Nick Parker in London, Marco Eccheli of the Italian office, and German pair Nicolas Franzwa and Patrick Widmaier.
“I congratulate our newly promoted Managing Directors on their new leadership roles,” said CEO Simon Freakley of the fresh global elevations. “These exceptional individuals exemplify AlixPartners’ core values while delivering high impact results for our clients by guiding them through times of unprecedented disruption. I wish them every success in the next phase of their careers at AlixPartners.”
