Dima Sayess returns to Strategy& to lead Ideation Centre think-tank
Leading consultancy Strategy& has welcomed back former public sector consultant Dima Sayess to lead the firm’s Ideation Center think tank in the Middle East.
Following a six year stint with Dubai’s Executive Council in strategy development, former Strategy& government and public sector consultant Dima Sayess has rejoined the firm as a partner to lead its Ideation Centre think tank in the Middle East. Altogether she brings more than a decade and a half of regional consulting experience to her new role, with the firm stating big plans ahead for the think tank.
A master’s holder in finance and economics from the London School of Economics, Sayess spent four years between the Lebanese Ministry of Education and the office of the Minister for Finance before joining Strategy& for her first stint in 2008, working in the firm’s government and public sector practice where over six years she managed numerous projects focused on socioeconomic and human capital reforms.
From 2014 she has served as strategic development advisor for the strategy management and governance sector at Dubai’s Executive Council, the emirate’s peak decision-making body, where she led several defining initiatives. According to a company press release, Sayess returns to Strategy& Middle East with a wealth of knowledge and deep expertise – and with ‘big plans in store’ for the Ideation Center.
Bringing together thought leadership, research, design-thinking labs, capability-building programmes and participatory platforms, Strategy&’s Ideation Center seeks to promote sustainable growth in the Middle East region with coverage of a broad range of topics such as adopting a circular economy, managing the disruption of the sharing economy, maximising the potential of the data economy and scaling up MENA's start up sector, in addition to building the GCC's entertainment and leisure sectors.
Sayess joins an established team of Ideation Centre contributors and Strategy& senior leaders, including partners Stephen Anderson (Clients and Markets Leader), Fadi Adra (public sector), Per-Ola Karlsson (Industrial Manufacturing and Financial Services), Yahya Anouti (Energy, Chemicals, and Utilities), Marwan Bejjani (Engineered products and services) and Tarek El Zein and Mahmoud Makki (TMT), along with fellows Jana Batal, Melissa Rizk.
