James Khoury launches career consultancy NewNorth
James Khoury has launched NewNorth, a Dubai-based consultancy dedicated to helping professionals at every stage of their career plan the next phase of their development.
With a suite of services that spans coaching, mentoring, leadership support, talent acquisition strategy, change management and a whole host of other fields, NewNorth is targeted at individuals or businesses looking for change. “Realign – navigate – transform,” is the firm’s catch phrase.
NewNorth launched during the early stages of the pandemic, and the timing could not be better. The Covid-19 crisis has been perhaps the biggest catalyst for change in a decade, if not more. Millions find themselves out of a job, while businesses are being forced to reinvent the workspace in line with new norms of health, safety, economy and sustainability.
“Now more than ever it is important for people to take charge of their future and make smart decisions that will have an impact on the next chapter of their lives,” said James Koury. According to him, NewNorth positions itself as a trusted partner for business leaders seeking to navigate and adapt to the new reality.
“This is the exact reason I decided to take action and create a company which is a sounding board and mentorship programme for people in need of support. My vision for NewNorth is to support and motivate business leaders and individuals to realign their objectives in today’s new normal and make crucial decisions to shape their careers and businesses going forward,” explained Khoury.
With well over two decades of leadership and operational experience gained in Europe and Dubai, Khoury is well positioned to support businesses of all shapes and sizes. Khoury began his career in sales in London, after which he held several sales and director roles in Dubai. Most recently, he was a director at two real estate companies – fäm Properties (part of $1.8 billion fäm Group) and Elysian Real Estate.
In other recent launches of new players in the Dubai’s consulting industry, in April this year former Accenture Strategy Middle East managing director Raffaella Campagnoli established boutique advisory firm LIRA Strategy Partners.
