Two companies specialised in digital transformation – Abacus Cambridge Partners and SNP – have bundled their offerings in the SAP domain to enhance the way they implement SAP solutions at clients.

Abacus Cambridge Partners is one of the larger SAP implementation partners in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The SAP Gold partner has hundreds of SAP projects under its belt in the region, across industries including energy & utilities, financial services, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and the public sector. Globally, the UK-headquartered digital consultancy boasts a track record of delivering digital projects in over 30 countries.

The firm’s SAP offering spans the entire life-cycle, from design and build to implementation, post go-live support and outsourcing services. The partnership with SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner (part of the SNP Group) is aimed at the SAP migration space, one of the main challenges of any SAP implementation programme.

When organisations of all sizes migrate their data from a legacy system to a new SAP system, all kinds of things can go wrong. Errors can range from data missing in the new system to incorrect data plotting or a failed transfer of records altogether – all of which can immediately impact going concern operations. With digital now at the heart of competitiveness and innovation, the stakes can be high.

Using its proprietary Bluefield approach powered by the CrystalBridge software platform, SNP helps clients improve the completeness, but also speed and agility of their SAP data migrations. Bluefield was built on the back of learnings from thousands of successful SAP transformation projects globally.

According to SNP’s own website, “with Bluefield, customers can convert at record speed and at any time regardless of the financial year-end, retain full historical data, achieve transformation without re-implementation, rationalise computing resource consumption, and experience minimal disruption. [The approach] allows organisations to merge, split, upgrade and harmonise data in SAP with a near-zero downtime.”

Abacus Cambridge Partners will now integrate this approach into its broader proposition, in a move that will benefit its clients at a time when they are ramping up their ERP transformation efforts in light of the growing need for digitised business and operating models.

Abbas Khan, the CEO of Abacus, said, “Our partnership with SNP helps us bring their deep know-how in SAP data transformation to our customers. We’re excited about helping our customers migrate to SAP efficiently whilst minimising the associated risks.”

The CEO of SNP Transformations for Japan and Asia-Pacific, Gerald Faust, welcome d the partnership, stating: “Our alliance will deliver maximum value to organisations in the region based on software-centric, highly automated solutions – ensuring speed and business agility.”

Earlier this year, Abacus landed a partnership with Deep Engineering, a local advisory firm in Iraq.
