International consulting firm Tefen launches in Dubai
Tefen – an Israel-headquartered global management consulting firm – has announced the launch of a Dubai office, in a move to better serve its expanding pool of UAE-based clients.
“Opening the company in Dubai has tremendous potential for new business opportunities for the group, and is a direct continuation of our strategy to expand in the international arena,” Tefen CEO Mally Bitzur Parnes said of the move. Expansion has been a visible part of the firm’s strategy over the years.
Since launching as a startup in Tel Aviv in 1982, Tefen has entered key global markets such as the US, Europe and Asia – today boasting a presence in 12 countries across five continents. In many markets, the firm operates through “strategic cooperation agreements” with local firms – examples include GEI in China and Nihilent in India.
The Dubai office is a dedicated Tefen outfit, and will start with a team of 10 professionals. Within three years, the firm plans to expand its Dubai headcount to 40, signaling its ambitious outlook in the market. In part, this has to do with the burgeoning demand for Tefen’s propositions.
With a focus on strategy and business performance consulting, Tefen also advises on a host of other business functions spanning commercial excellence, manufacturing, supply chain development, research & development excellence, corporate finance and artificial intelligence. Each of these is a hallmark of a rapidly expanding economy – a mold that the UAE has taken in recent years.
Also in Tefen’s column is its multifaceted experience with a wide range of sectors. Over the years, the firm has worked across retail, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, aviation, consumer goods, telecom, energy, public sector, high tech and legal, signaling the depth and breadth of its expertise.
With Expo 2020 around the corner this year, Dubai is looking to become a global business hub, drawing investment from big players in a number of industries. As global businesses look to find their foothold in this vibrant market – and local firms up their game to compete – Tefen will now be well situated to support this process.
And the Dubai base will strengthen Tefen’s regional reach as well. Together with its Tel Aviv headquarters, Tefen Dubai marks the firm’s second Middle East office – joining a network of over global offices and more than 20 strategic partners spread across the US, Spain, Singapore, Greece, India and China, among several other economic hotspots.
