Cyril Gourp appointed partner at Bain & Company Middle East
Global management consulting firm Bain & Company has promoted the Frenchman Cyril Gourp to its partnership in the Middle East.
Based in Dubai, Cyril Gourp is now a partner in the firm’s Financial Services and Private Equity practices. He has over fifteen years of experience in consulting, having previously served counterparts Capco (a financial services specialist) and Kearney (a strategic operations consultancy) for over a decade, before joining Bain & Company four years ago.
In between, Gourp worked for Exane BNP Paribas, the investment company of BNP Paribas specialised in cash equities.
During his career, Gourp has advised financial services institutions – mainly banks and insurers – and private equity groups across the Middle East and Europe on topics including strategy design, operational excellence, digitalisation and large-scale programme implementation. He has also driven numerous engagements for sovereign wealth funds, family offices and corporations at the intersection of financial services.
Gourp, who has been based in the Middle East since 2012, holds a Master of Business Administration from HEC Paris and a Master of Science in Engineering.
He becomes Bain & Company’s 26th partner in the region, operating from offices in Dubai, Doha and Riyadh. They lead a team of more than 300 consultants and staff.
Last year in the same promotion round, the global consultancy appointed four partners in the region, and in the summer, three seniors were admitted into its equity ranks.
