Oliver Wyman names Adonis Chami leader of its Dubai office
Strategic consulting firm Oliver Wyman has appointed a new Head for its office in Dubai: Adonis Chami.
The freshly elected Dubai Office Lead has been with the firm for nearly 15 years. He joined Oliver Wyman in 2007 following his graduation and was elected a partner in 2016. During this time, Chami gained extensive experience working on a range of strategy and management consulting engagements across the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.
Chami advises executives, board members and regulators in the telecommunications industry (telecom operators and communications service providers) on commercial strategy, digital transformation, big data, and corporate finance. He also has experience in the financial services industry, having worked with central banks, commercial banks and PSPs on mainly digital payments.
He has been based in Oliver Wyman’s Dubai office since re-joining the consultancy after completing his MBA at INSEAD in 2012. Earlier in his career, Chami – who is fluent in English and Arabic – received his Bachelor in Psychology and Minor in Business Management from McGill University.
Alongside his client work, Chami played a lead role in internal practice development over the past years, most recently working on improving work-life balance and diversity & inclusion in the Dubai office, and helping the firm’s local team with shifting to remote and digital working.
“We look forward to Adonis’ leadership in helping us grow our presence and develop the office culture in Dubai,” said Pedro Oliveira, Head of Oliver Wyman’s India, Middle East & Africa division.
Oliver Wyman launched its Dubai office in 2005. In 2010 the firm added a second outfit in the United Arab Emirates with the opening of an office in Abu Dhabi.
Last month, $2.1 billion consultancy Oliver Wyman promoted Adeel Kheiri to partner in its Dubai office.
