Dubai-based human capital consultancy and recruitment specialist Cooper Fitch has welcomed a new team member to its team: Emily Bates.

Working in the firm’s CEO’s office, Emily Bates has been tasked with supporting CEO Trefor Murphy – who founded Cooper Fitch in 2016 following a fourteen-year career at rival Morgan McKinley – with expanding client relationships and insights.

“Emily will be working alongside me to understand how we can better serve our clients,” said Murphy, focused on deepening the firm’s offerings across its three main lines of business: executive search, recruitment, and human resources advisory services.

UK-origin Bates will also take responsibility for expanding Cooper Fitch’s research-driven insights (market trends and reports) for clients across industry verticals, including financial services, real estate, public sector and management consulting. “To complete the full spectrum of our human resources services, we provide our clients with valuable market insights and compensation and benefits analysis,” explained Murphy.

Bates brings a background in business development and project management to her new role. Most recently, she was a Client Relationship Manager at specialist pensions company Brite Advisors in Dubai, working alongside sales teams to rope in new business and alongside investment advisors to support engagement delivery.

Commenting on her new challenge, Bates said: “I am really excited to be working with such a great group of people, and look forward to progressing in my role and learning as much as I can along the way.”

A few months into her new role, “Bates’ background in client relations management has already provided invaluable insights to our business,” said Murphy.

In the consultancy scene, privately-held Cooper Fitch works for leading strategy consulting firms, Big Four firms, boutique management consultancies, implementation specialists and digital transformation powerhouses. The firm’s consulting account is led by Michael Stubbs, who has been with the UAE-origin firm since its inception.
