Kearney promotes Adel Belcaid to Head of its CMT practice
Kearney has promoted UAE-based Adel Belcaid to Head of its Communications, Media, and Technology (CMT) practice in the Middle East and Africa.
Adel Belcaid has been with the global strategy and management consulting firm for nearly six years as a partner. Earlier in his career he spent nearly a decade at Strategy& (back then operating under the Booz & Company banner).
During his career in strategic consulting, Belcaid led over 100 engagements with a focus on clients in the telecoms, media, and technology segment, including mobile and fixed carriers, media publishers/broadcasters, content producers, as well as regulators and government agencies.
Belcaid also gained extensive experience in the consumer goods and retail segments, working across the e-commerce, e-retail, and e-distribution domains. He specialises in strategic planning, transformation, procurement, economic development, customer experience, sales and marketing, e-commerce, and organisational development.
In his new role, Belcaid leads the CMT practice across six offices; in Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Doha, Dubai, Riyadh and Johannesburg. “I am very excited to take on the leadership of Kearney’s CMT business in the region. Telecoms, media, and technology have a profound impact right across the board in every society, and even more so here in the MEA region.”
A frequent speaker and contributor to local and international media, including CNN, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Dubai TV, Al Arabiya, and others, Belcaid will also lead Kearney’s TMT thought leadership in the region.
Earlier in his career, Belcaid – an MIT Sloan MBA graduate – worked a decade in industry, at Nokia in Finland and the US, and Symanto in the Middle East.
