Kantar has promoted the leader of its Middle East Insights division to a larger regional role.

Effective 1 July 2021, Amol Ghate has been named Managing Director of Kantar Insights for the Middle East, North Africa & Pakistan (known as MENAP within Kantar). Prior to taking on the role, Dubai-based Ghate led the 200-strong Insights division in the Middle East. Before that, he among others led Kantar Insights in the United Arab Emirates, and Millward Brown (which merged into the Insights division).

Ghate has been with the global marketing and research insights consultancy since 2006, starting with the firm in Egypt, before relocating to Dubai in 2009. His track record includes consulting on brand equity, segmentation and positioning, portfolio management, brand communications, media optimisation, new product development and pricing.

Clients he has served span multinationals and large mid-sized companies across the personal care, household care, food and beverage, telecom, automotive, and luxury sectors.

“Amol has led some of Kantar’s largest client relationships regionally,” said Adeola Tejumola, Middle East and Africa Managing Director of the Insights division. “As he adds North Africa and Pakistan to his remit, we look forward to him further driving our vision of growth in the region and know that both our staff and our clients are in great hands.”

In a dual role, Ghate will continue to lead the Analytics practice across Middle East & Africa. This arm combines Kantar’s data and technology solutions to help clients better predict consumer behaviour, enabling them “to make bold and complex decisions and optimise priorities for growth,” said Ghate.
