Ali Ayach and Jatin Arora join Alvarez & Marsal as senior director
Alvarez & Marsal has strengthened its Middle East team with two new Senior Directors. Both Ali Ayach and Jatin Arora join the global management consulting firm from a tier-one rival.
Ali Ayach brings more than 15 years of experience in management consulting across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to Alvarez & Marsal. He joined the firm from GE Healthcare Partners, the consulting arm of GE Healthcare, where he spent four years, most recently as Managing Director for the Middle East and Gulf countries.
Prior to that, Ayach worked at Philips Consulting as the healthcare consulting lead for the Middle East, at the Dubai Government served in a senior advisory role, and at Leighton as a consultant. Prior to relocating to the Middle East in 2008, Ayach was a consultant at Accenture in Italy.
Ayach is a member of Alvarez & Marsal’s Healthcare practice, specialised in strategy, performance optimization, value-based healthcare, digital transformation, emerging technologies, market access, and greenfield hospital planning.
Notable engagements he worked on include establishing an R&D transformation office for a major healthcare regulator, leading the digital strategy and operating model for the national centralized booking system to access care for a large public provider, leading the activation of multiple AI and IoT use cases for a large public provider, and leadingd the set-up and implementation of a National Healthcare Command Center in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Jatin Arora is a member of Alvarez & Marsal’s Strategy & Performance Improvement practice. With more than 18 years of experience in industry and consulting, he specialises in strategy formulation and execution, M&A (pre and post deal), divestiture, corporate restructuring, performance improvement, and lean six sigma.
Prior to joining the firm, Arora served as a senior director with PwC in the Middle East for six years. Before that, he worked at Bayer Business Consulting, the in-house consultancy of Germany’s Bayer, where he led multiple engagements in the life sciences and materials sciences sectors.
Before moving into consulting, Arora led business and plant operations for an industrial products company in UAE. He started his career with ArvinMeritor, focusing on performance improvement.
Notable recent projects in the public sector include developing and implementing an industrial cluster strategy for a GCC country; leading a transformation program for a GCC ministry; carving out 20+ operational assets from a GCC regulator for privatisation; and defining the rationale and implementation of merger of two government entities in a GCC country.
In the private sector, Arora has developed strategy and operating model for a global industrial products company and led carve-outs and post-merger integration for regional and global companies with footprints across multiple MENA countries.
