Devoteam names Ashraf ElSheikh leader of its Microsoft business
Devoteam has welcomed a new leader for its Microsoft business unit in the Middle East: Ashraf ElSheikh.
Ashraf ElSheikh brings some two decades of IT consulting experience to the firm, gained at Microsoft, and both sides of the client spectrum; at technology services providers and corporations.
Most recently at Dell, based in Egypt, ElSheikh advised clients on multi-cloud strategies and implementation programs across the entire stack of Microsoft, VMware and Dell/EMC solutions. Before that, he spent nine years at Microsoft, working across roles in consultancy, implementation, technology, architecture and cloud.
Earlier in his career, ElSheikh served ITWorx as a technical consultant and Vodafone as a technical engineer. “Ashraf brings over 20 years of progressive experience in technology and consultancy. He is an innovative technology strategist with extensive experience in cloud and infrastructure technologies,” said Devoteam of its latest senior recruit.
Across the Middle East, Devoteam has over 450 consultants and technologists, specialised in helping clients in both the public and private sector with delivering their digital transformation agenda. The firm (which has 8,000 employees globally) works across several technology platforms, with Microsoft one its key specialisations.
Worldwide, Devoteam is a multiple Microsoft Partner of the Year Award winner across its consulting, solutions and managed services offerings, and in the Middle East, the firm has over the past months “invested in expanding its Microsoft partnership and expertise,” according to a statement.
“We are very happy to welcome Ashraf to our Devoteam family. He will play a key role in reinforcing our Microsoft partnership in the Middle East region.”
Last week, Devoteam bolstered its Microsoft portfolio with the acquisition of CLOUDEON, a Scandinavian company specialised in managed services for Microsoft Azure.
