Raja Al Mazrouei joins Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Advisor
Professional services firm Deloitte has welcomed a high-profile senior in its Dubai office, with the arrival of Raja Al Mazrouei as a Senior Advisor.
One of the top 100 Power Businesswomen in The Middle East according to Forbes, and one of the top 50 Most Influential Women in the Middle East Finance according to Dow Jones, Raja Al Mazrouei brings an impressive track record to Deloitte. Throughout her career, she has held senior positions at Dubai Holding, National Bonds Corporation and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority.

In her most recent role as Executive Vice President at the DIFC, Al Mazrouei helped develop one of the region’s largest ecosystem for financial technology entrepreneurs, and according to one ranking, a top ten FinTech hub globally. She will leverage that experience to support Deloitte’s services to the financial and fintech scene, spanning strategy, deals and transactions, performance improvement, as well as risk & compliance, cybersecurity and more.
Mazrouei will also serve as a mentor for younger talent within the firm, an opportunity she is much looking forward to: “I am particularly keen on focusing on youth talent, diversity and inclusion by attracting, mentoring and empowering future leaders in consulting.”
With over 5,000 professionals working in 15 countries , Deloitte is one of the largest professional services firms in the region, and its consulting outfit – consisting of the Deloitte Consulting, Monitor Deloitte and Deloitte Digital brands – is among the leaders in the Middle East landscape. Globally, Deloitte is the world’s largest consultancy, according to Gartner estimates.
Al Mazrouei joins following the recent launch of the Deloitte Digital Studio in Dubai earlier this year, a space created to enhance technology solutions in the UAE and wider region, as well as to support and drive the UAE’s ambitions in driving its digital transformation agenda. FinTech is one of the studio’s main areas of focus.
According to data from KPMG, worldwide investments in fintech totalled $98 billion in the first half of 2021 (up from $87 billion in the second half of 2020), with the coming six months predicted to be just as rosy. In the region, Saudi Arabia and the UAE serve as the largest fintech hubs.
Alongside her role at Deloitte, Al Mazrouei serves as a member of the Harvard Business School MENA Advisory Board and a member board of Trustees of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. In addition, she holds positions on the boards of Dubai FinTech Ventures, Afkar Ventures, and Al Masraf Arab Bank for Investment & Foreign Trade.
