Sophia Addas on her career milestone at Alvarez & Marsal in Saudi
Sophia Addas has recently hit a special milestone in her career, becoming the first woman to join the director ranks of Alvarez & Marsal in Saud Arabia.
On International Women’s Day, Sophia shares her career story at the global management consulting firm and how Alvarez & Marsal has helped her settle in and continue to advance her career.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Addas worked at a large Big Four accounting and consulting firm. She specialises in restructuring and turnaround engagements and works for clients across sectors.
Across its 50+ offices globally, Alvarez & Marsal supports the advancement of women through mentorship, training and flexible work models that help women thrive both professionally and personally.
The interview with Sophia Addas is part of Alvarez & Marsal’s global ‘Women of A&M’ campaign. This campaign features short videos of women, across multiple professional levels and geographies, sharing their wisdom and Alvarez & Marsal experiences.
“‘Women of A&M’ serves as a platform to capture and promote conversations and insights around Alvarez & Marsal that demonstrate the increasing impact women are having at our firm and with the clients we serve,” states the consultancy on its special campaign microsite.
Other female leaders featured by the campaign include Tiffany Guthrie, Cyndi Joiner, Erica Lister and Erica Park (based in the US), Jeannette von Ratibor and Roswitha Tertea (based in Germany), Hiba Malik (based in the Middle East), and Ankita Soni and Ritu Lakhotia (based in India).
“We recognise the pathway to driving change for the next generation of women is rooted in the discussions of today.” Launched on International Women’s Day, Alvarez & Marsal’s campaign aims to support these much needed “internal and external dialogues” and demonstrate the firm’s leadership in supporting women at work and beyond.
