Founded in 1998, London-headquartered Capital Consulting International is a specialist consultancy dedicated to resolving construction disputes and insurance claims. The firm’s over 130 experts in 10+ offices advise clients and provide (independent and impartial) oral testimony in Court and for tribunals.

Since launching its Middle East office in Dubai shortly before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Capital Consulting International has seen strong demand for its services, enabling the consulting firm to grow its team in the region to 40.

“We have been fortunate enough to work with esteemed clients and lawyers,” said David Webster, Group Managing Director at Capital Consulting International.

“Andrew Corton has done a great job as Regional Director in establishing the practice in the Middle East and I am delighted that Lee is joining to strengthen our leadership and provide us with renowned quantum expert capabilities alongside Andrew’s delay expertise. We now have the leadership and support staff in place to deliver on our ambitions.”

Alongside growing Capital Consulting International’s footprint in hotspots UAE and Saudi Arabia, Simões has been tasked with extending the firm’s reach into the wider MENA region. “We have a strong platform from which to help grow the MENA regional business by continuing to provide our clients with unrivalled integrated expert services,” he said.

A qualified Quantity Surveyor and an Expert Witness, prior to joining Simões was Managing Director & Head of Quantum Expert Services at Peter Evans Partnership, a boutique firm. Before that, he served Navigant (now part of Ankura) and over a decade at Blair-Anderson, where he latterly led the firm’s business in the GCC.

Simões specialises in providing expert entitlement and quantum reporting, claims evaluation, claims and risk analysis advice, and contract and commercial management advisory including procurement strategy. His project portfolio in the region spans the dredging/land reclamation, infrastructure, residential, offices, hotels, retail malls, sports stadia, airports, hospital, and education sectors.
