Mahmoud Abougabal joins HKA's Expert Services team in Dubai
Global consultancy HKA has added Mahmoud Abougabal to its Expert Services team in Dubai.
Mahmoud Abougabal joins the consulting firm from Driver Trett, where he spent the past five years in its Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices.
An expert in delays and dispute resolution within the capital projects and infrastructure sector, Abougabal has an extensive track record working on court disputes, having cross-examined in the courts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Saudi Arabia on some of the region’s larger and more complex projects.
Prior to Driver Trett, Abougabal spent two years at Big Four firm Deloitte, where he advised and audited on planning procedures and controls processes, leveraging his more than eight years of experience in engineering roles at several larger construction-focused groups including Dar Al Handasah and Hill International.
Some of the notable projects he has worked on include: the upgrade of Abu Dhabi Airport, the development of Al Maryah Central in Abu Dhabi, the building of Legoland in Dubai, the build of Credit Agricole’s new regional headquarters in Egypt, and the development of Qatar National Library in Doha.
