PwC has agreed a partnership with Sova, deepening its workforce offerings with the addition of Sova’s talent assessment and recruitment solutions.

The new partnership adds another alliance to PwC Consulting’s growing number of partnerships with technology vendors in the Middle East. In the case of Sova, the alliance is led by the People & Organisation practice.

“This partnership blends the best of PwC’s human capital consulting and assessment services with Sova’s innovative solutions that employ scientific and tech-driven tools to overcome talent acquisition challenges facing our clients,” explained Eyhab Abdeen, a Partner in PwC’s People & Organisation practice.

Launched in 2015, venture capital-backed (Series A of $9 million) Sova helps organisations with two main activities along the recruitment process. The first is assessments – Sova has a platform that offers fully configurable digital assessments that can be run with candidates. This includes pre-employment, cognitive, logical reasoning, and more forms of assessments.

The second of Sova’s benefits is centred around the candidate experience – its platform ensure candidates enjoy an “engaging and personalised candidate experience” while providing recruitment teams with all kinds tools to streamline workflows and hiring decision-making across roles and functions.

“Our solutions help clients increase their hiring process transparency and accurately evaluate talent across different industries,” summarised Jonathan Rook, Regional Lead MENA at Sova.

“As PwC works to empower organisations across the Middle East to accelerate their transformation, our new alliance will only cultivate PwC's existing offering that aims to build workforces of the future.”

The alliance comes at a time of growing shortage of talent, meaning that creating an engaging and personalised candidate experience has moved to the forefront of the hiring agenda. Meanwhile, candidates are upping their expectations on prospect employers, with those failing to meet their needs likely to draw the short straw.

“Acquiring the right talent remains one of the main challenges facing organisations in the Middle East. This partnership will cultivate PwC Consulting’s existing offering that aims to build workforces of the future.”
