Jordan Ying re-joins global consultancy HKA in UAE office
A decade after crossing from HKA to a larger counterpart, Jordan Ying has walked back in the opposite direction, re-joining the firm’s UAE practice.
With six years under his belt at specialist consultancy Driver Trett, Jordan Ying joined Hill International in the summer of 2011, working across its London and UAE offices on construction and engineering focused consultancy services.
Fast forward a decade-plus, and Ying is back where his Middle East career began. In the in-between period, he spent close to ten years at FTI Consulting, growing the ranks to senior director level.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome back Jordan as we continue to grow our claims and expert team throughout the Middle East. Jordan is a great addition to HKA, having vast experience in the Middle East & Asia,” said Jad Chouman, Partner and Head of Middle East at HKA.
HKA was established under its current brand in 2017 when Hill International spinned off its consultancy business into a stand-alone company. Today, this firm – HKA – has over 1,000 consultants, experts and advisors in 40+ offices across 18 countries. In the Middle East, HKA operates from six offices, in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Manama and Muscat.
Over the years, HKA has managed to establish itself as one of the leading consultants for risk mitigation and dispute resolution services within the capital projects and infrastructure sector.
Based in Dubai, Ying brings over 25 years of experience in construction projects to the firm, with a focus on consulting and expert services on delay and disruption matters. He combines management, construction and legal knowledge, enabling him to deliver balanced opinions on the performance of parties involved in projects.
