Felicien Dillard and Patrick Raupach partners at Portas Consulting
Global sports-focused management consultancy Portas Consulting has appointed two new partners in the Middle East.
Both Felicien Dillard and Patrick Raupach have been promoted from within the firm’s own ranks, and bring over a decade of experience in the world of sports – as well as a background at a Big Four firm – to the partnership.
Based in the Dubai office, Dillard has been promoted to partner, while Riyadh-based Raupach has been appointed an associate partner.
Dillard has been with Portas Consulting since 2020, when he joined from PwC where he worked for fourteen years and latterly led its Sport Business Advisory practice in the Middle East.
During his career, he has advised both private and public sector clients with most of his advisory work in commercial and merger & acquisition advisory, including investment appraisals, business plans and due diligence.
His experience includes advising event organisers, institutions and governing bodies such as the Special Olympics, Formula One, Football Federations, Equestrian Federations, and Sports Ministries on the development of strategies, the delivery of sport events and competitions.
Raupach joined Portas Consulting in 2019, having previously spent three years at KPMG and five years at German development agency GIZ focused on international cooperation, economic development and public sector transformation. Raupach has been based in Saudi Arabia for eight years.
He has extensive consulting experience working across the public and private sector, leading transformation programmes in Europe and the Middle East. He leads the Public Sector practice and specialises in transformation and growth strategy, business planning, and organisation design.
Raupach’s track record includes advising public sector institutions and governing bodies such as the Olympic Committee, Sports Federations and Ministries.
Notably, alongside his daily consultant role, Raupach has represented Saudi Arabia’s rugby team in multiple international test matches.
Commenting on the appointments, David Portas, a former McKinsey & Company partner and founder of Portas Consulting, said: “Felicien and Patrick have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our values and have made a difference at our clients. We are proud to welcome them to our Middle East partnership.”
In ConsultancyME’s recently released ranking of top consulting firms in the Middle East for 2022, Portas earned top-tier scores in both sport-focused lists – Sport and Football.
