Appointed Head of Operations for Saudi Arabia, Husam Gawish will lead the firm’s operations in the Kingdom, spanning responsibilities including new business development, client management and practice development.

Building on its decade-long track record in Saudi Arabia, HKA launched its Riyadh office last year, complementing its existing presence in Jeddah. The firm works mainly for clients active in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Gawish brings more than two decades of engineering, commercial, claims, project management and business development experience to the role. The Chartered Engineer has been with HKA for the past eight years, most recently as Head of Business Development for the MENA region.

“Husam’s valued experience will strengthen our local business organisation and further enhance our growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Haroon Niazi, partner and Head of Middle East at HKA.

Jad Chouman, partner and fellow Head of Middle East, added, “We are confident that with this new structure, HKA will be best placed to service our valued clients, who are contributing to the significant growth of the construction industry within the Kingdom.”

Commenting on his new role, Gawish said: “HKA has an exciting growth strategy in the Kingdom and working alongside an experienced and strong team, I look forward to help strengthen HKA’s operations to achieve the best possible outcomes, whilst always delivering exceptional services to our clients at all times.”

Globally, HKA has more than 1,000 staff across 40+ offices in 18 countries. The firm’s award-winning Middle East team operates out of seven offices in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
