Top talent celebrate graduation from Dubai Business Associate program
Following their graduation from the Dubai Business Associate program, a group of 30+ young professionals are now well-equipped for kickstarting their ambitious career in Dubai – or beyond.
In September last year, a class of 33 young professionals commenced the nine-month graduate management programme, a learning initiative run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The 33 professionals were selected from over 3,000 applicants and come from all corners of the globe, including the United States, China, India, Nigeria, South Korea, Vietnam and of course homegrown talent from the Emirates.
Yesterday, on 12 June, the members of the eighth cohort of the Dubai Business Associate program celebrated their graduation.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony at Habtoor Palace in Dubai, James Maughan, Director of Dubai Business Associates said: “We have enjoyed working with such prodigious young talent and congratulate them on their graduation from the programme. We are confident that they are fully equipped to excel in their chosen fields and look forward to watching their careers develop.”
During the program, participants received training on topics such as strategy, business, and leadership skills. These trainings were delivered through a blended curriculum.
Bringing their classroom skills to practice, participants simultaneously gained real word experience through the delivery of consulting projects at leading organisations in Dubai, including Emirates, dnata, Dubai International Financial Center, and Knowledge Fund Establishment.
The Dubai Business Associate program is run by Falcon and Associates (which has been in the lead since the programme’s inception) and is supported by three learning partners: Capadev (a capability development firm), Bon Education (a program design specialist), and PwC (a professional services firm).
The program was launched in 2014 with the aim of providing graduates with an opportunity to advance their management, professional and personal skills, while grooming future leaders – who ideally decide to settle in Dubai.
“There’s no doubt that Dubai is a magnet for ambitious graduates and will continue to attract and retain the best and the brightest as one of the world’s most dynamic and business friendly hubs,” said Maughan, adding that most graduates in fact decide to stick around in Dubai, with others scattering to places all over the world.
The Dubai Business Associate program is popular hunting ground for management consultants. Analysis of alumni profiles from the previous seven classes shows that a notable number of alumni work for top-tier consulting firms such as McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company.
