Fatima Qasimi joins partner team of Fursa Consulting
UAE based boutique advisory firm Fursa Consulting has appointed a new partner: Fatima Qasimi.
Operating out of Dubai’s Business Bay district, Fursa Consulting is an independent advisory firm focused on providing financial advice on structured debt, equity and mergers & acquisitions to borporates and institutional clients. The firm was founded in 2014 by the duo Abdul Moiz Khan and Adnan Farooq.
Joining as the firm’s third partner, Fatima Qasimi brings over 23 years of experience in the banking and financial services.
Prior to joining Fursa Consulting, Qasimi was the Group Head Financial Restructuring & Remedial at Emirates NBD Group. Before that she held the position of Head of Shared Services and Operations Management in Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.
Earlier at First Abu Dhabi Bank, she held a number of leadership roles in the firm’s Elite segment, and served as Chief Executive Officer of Aseel Islamic Finance (a wholly owned subsidiary of First Gulf Bank).
Welcoming her to the firm, the co-founders stated on LinkedIn: “Fatima is versatile and results-driven executive-Level professional with a proven track record in driving marketing and increasing revenue, ultimately benefiting the organisation’s bottom line. She possesses skills across a broad range of areas including Islamic and conventional banking and financial, corporate and commercial, retail, investment, treasury, strategic planning, and product development.”
Fatima Qasimi holds an Executive Degree in Leadership from Cranfield University and an MBA in Financial Management from South Eastern University. She previously completed her Bachelor studies in the United States.
